Job Title
• Surgical Technician - Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type
• Rotating 12-hour shifts, full-time

Key Responsibilities
• Assist surgical teams during procedures in a high-volume OR setting
• Prepare operating rooms and equipment for surgeries
• Ensure sterile environment and proper instrument handling
• Support anesthesia and surgical staff as needed
• Maintain compliance with safety and health standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate smooth surgical operations

Required Qualifications
• Current NBSTSA certification required
• Tertiary/high-risk experience in surgical or perioperative settings
• Experience working in Level III NICU or similar high-acuity environments
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts
• Availability for a minimum of 36 hours per week with at least 4 weekend shifts and 2 Fridays in a six-week cycle
• No first-time travelers; must have recent high-risk surgical experience

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with delivery of VBACs, Caesareans, and natural births
• Knowledge of high-volume surgical departments
• Prior experience in a similar high-acuity hospital setting

Additional Details
• Orientation provided weekly each Monday (excluding holidays)
• No on-call duties required
• Travel candidates must be separated from the facility for at least six months to be eligible
• No local travelers within 50 miles of the facility considered
