• Travel, 13-week contract, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour days

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on IMC, PCU, and stepdown units in a hospital setting.
• Monitor and interpret EKG rhythms; manage cardiac drips and infusion therapies.
• Perform procedures including peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, chest tube insertions, NG/Dobhoff tube placements, and central line dressing changes.
• Conduct hourly rounding during day shifts and communicate effectively with patients and team members, utilizing tools like AIDET.
• Float between units as needed, adhering to hospital policies and maintaining flexibility.
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech system.

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Critical thinking skills, with experience in EKG rhythm interpretation.
• Experience managing cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips.
• Proficiency with bipaps, high-flow oxygen systems, and oxygen delivery devices.
• Ability to perform IV insertions and basic procedures such as NG tube placement.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Peritoneal dialysis experience.
• Experience with stroke and post-cardiac cath care.
• Knowledge of wound vac troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with tube feedings and NG/Dobhoff tubes.
