Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care to IMC, PCU, and Stepdown unit patients, including post-surgical, cardiac, and orthopedic cases.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, manage chest tubes, epidurals, and critical drips, ensuring patient stability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care.
- Document patient observations and treatments accurately in the EMR system.
- Assist with procedures such as cardiac catheterization, device placements, and EP studies.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with hospital standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU or IMC experience.
- Knowledge of cardiac rhythms, surgical patient care, and chest tube management.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with post-cardiac cath, EP studies, and device placements.
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR system.
- Ability to manage high patient turnover efficiently.
- Outgoing, team-oriented personality willing to go above and beyond for patient care.
