Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Full-time, 13-week assignment, Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care on a 29-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with telemetry monitoring.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data to assess patient cardiac status.
- Collaborate with a close-knit, team-oriented staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Assist with procedures such as central line placements and other critical nursing duties.
- Utilize medical equipment including Hill Rom beds, Baxter IV pumps, and SCD pumps.
- Follow hospital protocols and maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of Virginia.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Telemetry experience is mandatory.
- Ability to work night shifts for the duration of the assignment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Charge nurse experience.
- Prior experience with central line procedures.
- Strong team player with a professional demeanor and adaptability to unit culture.
