Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Days shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 or 4 days per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a Level I trauma center with a focus on medical-surgical nursing.
- Manage PICC lines and starting IVs, with willingness to learn tracheostomy and laryngectomy patient care.
- Float within scope as needed to meet unit requirements.
- Work every other weekend; rotation scheduling applies for requested time off.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Active Illinois RN license.
- BLS certification required.
- Experience with PICC line management and starting IVs.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Cerner charting experience.
- Willingness to learn and care for trach and laryngectomy patients.
- Flexibility to take up to a 1:7 patient ratio if needed.
