Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures in the Cath Lab, including heart catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, and device placements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient patient care before, during, and after procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to urgent needs during procedures.
- Document procedural details and patient responses accurately in electronic medical records.
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and universal precautions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or able to reciprocate.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience working in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology unit preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Electrophysiology (EP) procedures experience.
- Familiarity with Phillips and Siemens fluoroscopy equipment.
- Knowledge of vascular, pacemaker/ICD, Watchman, and IR procedures.
