Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

• Charlottesville, VA
Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
• Provide nursing care within the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Perform clinical reviews and coordinate patient care for both low and high-risk obstetric cases
• Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures in a fast-paced environment
• Cross-train in Mother/Baby nursing to support unit flexibility
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage a high-volume obstetric service
• Maintain compliance with all clinical protocols and documentation standards
Required Qualifications
• Valid Virginia RN license (or pending licensure acceptance)
• BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
• Experience in labor and delivery preferred, with ability to handle both low and high-risk cases
• Ability to work rotating shifts and participate in holiday coverage as needed
• Demonstrated ability to perform clinical assessments and procedures in obstetric care
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with maternal-fetal medicine or high-risk obstetrics
• Certification in fetal monitoring or related specialties
• Ability to cross-train between labor/delivery and mother/baby units
