• Full-time, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week, days only, contracts available from 13 to 26 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-risk obstetrical care for obstetrical patients 16 weeks gestation and greater, including high-risk antepartum and postpartum care
• Perform routine outpatient procedures such as fetal surveillance, IV hydration, and medication administration
• Manage scheduled and unscheduled cesarean births, rescue cervical cerclage, and assist with high-acuity deliveries
• Collaborate with anesthesia and obstetrics teams for complex cases, ensuring patient safety and high-quality care
• Support patient triage, assessment, and immediate newborn care in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• May precept or orient new staff members and float as needed to ensure unit staffing and coverage

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent labor and delivery experience, with at least 3 preferred
• Experience with over 300 births per month in a high-volume setting
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Intermediate certification
• Competent in circulating, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn care
• Experience with OR circulation preferred
• Ability to handle double labor assignments daily in a high-acuity unit

Preferred Experience / Skills

• First-time travelers accepted with relevant large-volume L&D experience
• Familiarity with unit systems such as PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a busy, high-pressure environment
