Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type:

Full-time, Night shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care for medical surgical patients, including those with Oncology history
• Administer medications such as chemotherapy, biotherapy, Heparin, Insulin, and blood products
• Manage patient procedures including port access, central lines, PICC lines, chest tubes, and surgical drains
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including airway management and wound care
• Adhere to infection control and isolation precautions
• Complete documentation using systems like EPIC and PYXIS

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient Med/Surg experience
• Current RN license
• Experience with colostomy care, port access, blood product administration, and invasive lines
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• CPI certification
• Charge nurse experience
• Oncology certified (OCN), or willing to obtain
• Experience in emergency response during catastrophic events or disaster scenarios
