Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures and computed tomography (CT) scans in accordance with established protocols.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and cooperation.
• Operate CT equipment and accessories, selecting appropriate protocols for each case.
• Verify patient clinical history and procedure documentation for accurate interpretation.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Evaluate image quality, manipulate display settings, and ensure proper documentation.
• Assist in maintaining patient records and confidentiality.
• Provide patient education and support throughout procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance and safety protocols within the department.
• Support instructional activities for students or other healthcare team members as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (ARRT-R) and current licensure in North Dakota.
• Ability to perform CT procedures; ARRT-CT certification preferred.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification.
• Good judgment and technical skills to assess image quality.
• Strong interpersonal and patient care skills.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in trauma or emergency situations.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a diagnostic imaging environment.
• Familiarity with advanced imaging protocols and patient safety measures.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
