Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Alexandria, LA

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days shift, 13-week travel assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET and PET-CT scans.
• Support other imaging technologists to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and participate in quality assurance measures.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and manage radionuclides and pharmaceuticals in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate logs, documentation, and image archiving in accordance with department policies.
• Stay informed of ongoing technical updates, certifications, and safety procedures to ensure best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or an equivalent program.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a PET/CT and nuclear medicine setting.
• Active Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) certification by ARRT or equivalent.
• Valid state licensure (e.g., LRT(N) in Louisiana).
• BLS certification.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform basic maintenance.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with PACS systems.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience working in outpatient, cancer, or PET diagnosis environments.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and locations within the department.
• Knowledge of QA procedures and safety regulations pertaining to radioactive materials.
