Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Night shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the operating room environment.
• Circulate and scrub during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and technicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner charting system.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, covering various surgical specialties as required.
• Work in a fast-paced, trauma Level I environment with a diverse case mix.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid in-state RN license and current certifications, including BLS.
• Minimum of 3 years of OR nursing experience, with trauma Level I experience preferred.
• Circulate required; scrub experience preferred.
• Ability to work 2-3 major holidays per year, with availability for call-shifts (6 call shifts within a 6-week period).
• Current and well-rounded in most areas of perioperative nursing, excluding cardiac and transplant specialties.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Recent experience in a Level I trauma setting.
• Experience with Cerner charting system.
• Flexibility to float within scope and assist in various surgical units as needed.
