Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Nights, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide respiratory therapy services to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients across various hospital units
• Support neonatal and emergency room departments as needed, maintaining flexibility in schedule
• Work in a teaching facility with exposure to complex respiratory cases
• Ensure all patient care activities comply with hospital protocols and safety standards
• Participate in bi-weekly orientation sessions and maintain comprehensive documentation of work history
• Support hospital operations, including floating to different hospital floors and units

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2-3 years of respiratory therapy experience, with at least 2 years of specific experience required
• Current NY state license or proof of application (expected processing time of 6-8 weeks)
• Valid ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
• EPIC electronic medical record system experience from within the past 2 years
• Experience with invasive monitoring, ventilators (e.g., Puritan Bennett 980 & 840, LTV1200), ABGs, and emergency support equipment

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous travel or hospital float experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and adapt to varying department needs
• Strong knowledge of neonatal and pediatric respiratory care and equipment

Additional Information
• This position requires reliable transportation; personal or rental vehicle with all-season or snow tires recommended during winter months
• Must be able to work every other weekend and support holiday coverage for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s
• No block scheduling; consistent 12-hour night shifts
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained to ensure compliance
• Facility utilizes EPIC for documentation and Pyxis for medication management
• Will be required to float to different hospital floors and units as necessary
