Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care to cardiac ICU patients, including post-op and complex cardiovascular cases.
• Monitor patient vital signs and interpret telemetry strips, including managing ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients.
• Titrate multiple IV drips such as vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, and insulin as per protocol.
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and follow strict protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including charge nurses, techs, and physicians, to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.

Required Qualifications
• Valid Illinois RN license or active license application in process.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in CVICU or adult cardiac intensive care.
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with cardiovascular equipment such as Swan Ganz catheters, external pacemakers, and ventilators.
• Ability to interpret telemetry strips and respond quickly in high-stress situations.
• Proficiency in titrating IV drips like dopamine, epi, vasopressin, sedatives, and insulin.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• CCRN or PCCN certification.
• Previous travel nursing experience in a CVICU setting.
• Skilled in managing complex cardiac procedures such as TAVRs, Ablations, Watchmen, and heart failure management.
• Ability to float to other ICU levels and adapt quickly to various patient populations.
