- Full-time, overnight shifts (12 hours)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for orthopedic, neuro spine, med-surg, and post-surgical patients in a fast-paced unit.
- Manage pain control and monitor patient status, including telemetry and IV starts.
- Float as needed to other medical-surgical units within the facility to meet staffing requirements.
- Support patient care for a census of approximately 37 patients across 39 beds.
- Adhere to unit protocols, including specific shift and weekend schedule requirements.
- Ensure compliance with certification and procedural requirements prior to start, including passing EKG testing.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with strong orthopedic background.
- Must have recent orthopedic bedside experience.
- Current BLS and NRP certifications.
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records.
- Ability to start IVs and manage telemetry monitoring.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification.
- Charge nurse experience.
- Level I trauma unit experience.
