Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized inpatient rehabilitation nursing care to patients with neurological, post-surgical, and traumatic injuries.
  • Perform assessments including interpretation of laboratory results, medication reconciliation, and patient history documentation.
  • Conduct dressing changes and prepare sterile procedure trays following aseptic techniques.
  • Collect and label specimens such as capillary blood, throat, urine (UA), and perform phlebotomy as needed.
  • Manage patient-related communications, including telephone triage, pharmacy calls, and refill requests.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, including blood pressure, respirations, temperature, and pulse, ensuring patient safety and stability.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of acute care rehab experience.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Valid RN license.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health records.
  • Knowledge of laboratory result interpretation, medication reconciliation, and patient assessment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with neurological conditions such as CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury.
  • Familiarity with inpatient rehab procedures and patient ratios of 1:6.
  • Ability to float between campuses and adapt to multiple care settings.
