Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
Location: Wilmington, NC
Schedule / Job Type: Nights, 36 or 48 hours per week, 13-26 weeks contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with severe injuries, traumatic brain injuries, spine injuries, neurological trauma, and other complex conditions.
• Administer heparin drips, blood products, and manage IV therapies including PICC lines, central lines, and peripheral lines.
• Perform wound care, tracheostomy management, and oxygen therapy protocols.
• Utilize EPIC documentation systems accurately and efficiently.
• Follow strict safety and isolation precautions, including PPE usage.
• Be flexible with floating to similar units and alternate care locations as needed.
• Participate in storm or disaster response teams and work during catastrophic events.

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in the last 5 years as a registered nurse.
• Ability to manage heparin drips, PICC lines, central and peripheral lines, and blood product administration.
• Experience with EPIC documentation required.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• ACLS certification.
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Experience with dialysis management, neuro or spinal surgeries, and trauma.
