Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical inpatients across a 30-bed unit.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, and perform wound care and procedures such as gastric decompression and EEGs.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, adhering to clinical policies and unit guidelines.
- Utilize telemetry and various medical equipment to support patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license.
- BLS certification.
- IV Certification for LVNs (if applicable).
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification.
- Experience with stroke NIH protocols and wound care procedures.
- Knowledge of Meditech EMR system.
- Strong team-oriented and self-motivated personality.
