Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care on a telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to alarms.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety.
- Document patient interactions and clinical observations accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Follow unit protocols, policies, and procedures to maintain high-quality care standards.
- Assist with procedures such as wound care, bracing, and use of specialized equipment like CPM machines and external fixation devices.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or eligible for licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Med/Surg experience, preferably in telemetry or cardiac care settings.
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including weekends as required.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Experience with TNCC or additional trauma/critical care certifications.
- Familiarity with Welch Allyn vital signs monitors and GE telemetry systems.
- Prior travel nurse experience is a plus.
