Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the medical-surgical unit, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate and implement patient care plans tailored to the specific needs of adult and geriatric populations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to deliver seamless care.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety procedures in a clinical environment.
• Respond to emergency situations and assist in crisis management as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Professional knowledge and skills appropriate to adult and geriatric patient care.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and perform in emergency scenarios.
• Manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and visual/hearing acuity within normal or corrected limits.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least 1 year of healthcare experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Knowledge of bloodborne pathogen protocols and infection control practices.
• Experience working night shifts in a hospital environment.
