Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to residents in long-term care or skilled nursing facility settings.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist with activities of daily living and support patient comfort.
- Follow established protocols to ensure resident safety and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in the state of South Dakota.
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities preferred.
- Knowledge of medical procedures, medication administration, and resident care best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with elderly or chronically ill patients.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
