Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to observation and inpatient patients, including post-op and pre-op observation.
- Perform procedures such as IV starts, dressing changes, Foley catheter management, and other routine nursing duties.
- Assist with patient admissions and discharges, ensuring efficient turnaround in a high-volume environment.
- Utilize EPIC EMR and Acu-dose medication dispensing systems, including medication scanning.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with facility protocols.
- Work collaboratively within a team, floating as needed to other medical-surgical units while adhering to rotation schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Active ND or Compact RN license.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Experience with IV starts, dressing changes, Foley catheter care, and post-op patient monitoring.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Medical-Surgical unit.
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR and medication systems.
- Ability to manage high patient turnover efficiently.
