Key Responsibilities
- Provide routine and complex nursing care to post-surgical patients, including orthopedics, general surgery, and neuro populations.
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
- Administer medications and treatments following established protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
- Address the emotional, psychological, and social needs of patients and their families, providing education and resources as appropriate.
- Demonstrate independence and clinical competence, making appropriate patient care decisions and delegating tasks when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a MedSurg or post-surgical unit.
- Ability to manage diverse patient needs and develop long-term care plans.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
