Key Responsibilities
• Support students and virtual therapists in small-group online therapy sessions via platforms like Zoom and Teams.
• Assist groups of 1–5 students to stay engaged, participate, and follow instructions.
• Help implement therapy strategies and support IEP goals tailored to individual student needs.
• Troubleshoot basic technology issues to ensure smooth virtual session delivery.
• Collaborate with therapists, teachers, and school staff to monitor student progress and communicate updates.
• Assist with recording attendance, participation, and progress toward communication goals.
Required Qualifications
• 60+ college credits with a 2.5 GPA, GA Paraprofessional Certification, or a passing score on the ParaPro exam (or willingness to take the exam).
• Valid paraprofessional certification or eligibility to obtain one.
• Experience working with children, especially in educational or therapeutic settings, preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience supporting students with special needs or disabilities.
• Ability to manage and engage small groups of children effectively.
• Organizational skills to support therapy materials and track student progress.
• Flexibility in supporting virtual and in-person therapy sessions across different settings.
