• Full-time, Days shift (3x12 or 4x12-hour shifts, 0645-1915)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the ICU/PCU/Stepdown units, including telemetry, neuro, and other specialty areas.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergency situations using Rapid Response Teams.
• Administer medications, including cardiac and vasoactive drips, and manage IV therapy, arterial lines, and central lines.
• Support patients with post-cardiac procedures, neurological, orthopedic, plastic surgery, and respiratory needs.
• Ensure patient safety through wound care, infection control, and adherence to isolation precautions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience in a similar acute care setting.
• BLS and NIH certifications required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with telemetry, neuro, and stepdown patient monitoring.
• Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation, emergency response, and IV therapy.
• Ability to work every other weekend; willingness to float within scope as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level I trauma center or teaching hospital.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system.
• Experience with complex cases such as post-CABG, CVA, neurosurgery, orthopedic trauma, and ventilated patients.
• Knowledge of Gastrointestinal, Genitourinary, and Hemodialysis procedures.
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips with titration.
