Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

• Tuscaloosa, AL

Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, Night shifts, 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide postoperative and general surgical patient care on a 32-bed unit
• Collaborate closely with physicians and hospital staff to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Manage patient needs including pain control, mobility, and bedside procedures
• Float to different units and hospitals as needed to support staffing requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation using MEDITECH EMR system
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols for patient and staff safety

Required Qualifications
• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Valid Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a compact state license (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Current BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross
• Minimum of 18 months of professional nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a surgical or telemetry setting
• Willingness to float between units and hospitals as required

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience working in a surgical or telemetry unit
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing clinical situations
