Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Travel, Days shift, 12.5-hour shifts, approximately 3 shifts per week, duration: 26 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized orthopedic nursing care to adult patients in a hospital setting
- Assist with procedures such as dressing changes, suture/staple removal, Foley catheter placement, NG tube management, and wound vac maintenance
- Monitor patient conditions, perform assessments, and document care using electronic health records
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain adherence to safety protocols and unit policies
Required Qualifications
- Valid NC Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital nursing experience
- Orthopedic experience preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with orthopedic procedures and post-surgical care
- Knowledge of hospital equipment such as bedside commodes, bladder scanners, CPM machines, Sky lifts, and wheelchairs
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team player with compassionate patient care skills
