Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, monitoring vital signs and patient status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient progress and treatments accurately in the electronic medical record (Cerner).
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations, utilizing advanced nursing skills.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and unit guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or appropriate state.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Ability to work 12.5-hour day shifts, including 4 weekend shifts every 6 weeks.
- Comfortable working with telemetry equipment and post-procedure patients.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units.
- Charge nurse experience.
- Familiarity with post-EP lab and post-cath lab procedures.
- Flexible and calm demeanor, with strong communication skills.
