Full-time, nights shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients, including chemotherapy administration and stem cell transplant management
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, requiring passing the Relias EKG exam
- Float across various units within the oncology department as needed to support patient care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient treatment
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and patient confidentiality
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records (EPIC)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Missouri
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in an oncology or acute care setting
- Ability to interpret EKGs and manage dysrhythmias (passing Relias EKG exam required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Willingness to float across units as needed for staffing coverage
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certification in chemotherapy administration preferred
- Previous experience in a magnet or teaching hospital setting
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic charting system
