Key Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, including those with co-morbid medical conditions.
• Administer medications via PO, rectal, IM, IV, SC routes, and start/maintain IVs.
• Monitor blood glucose levels, insert and maintain Foley catheters, and respond to psychiatric emergencies.
• Document patient care accurately in an Epic electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team within inpatient psychiatric, geriatric, and medical units.
• Participate in on-call rotations and float within scope to meet unit needs as necessary.

Required Qualifications

• Active license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS and CPI certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience, including inpatient or locked unit settings.
• Experience with medication administration, starting IVs, and blood glucose monitoring.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, averaging 4 shifts per week.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with adult psychiatric populations, including geriatric patients.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records.
• Knowledge of medical/psych co-morbidities such as dementia, depression, or Parkinson's Disease.
