- Full-time, day shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week, requiring weekend work
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical department within a Short Term Acute Care facility
- Float between units as needed, ensuring smooth patient care operations
- Adhere to hospital policies, dress code, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Respond to patient needs and monitor vital signs and symptoms diligently
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on days, including weekends
- Comfortable with patient ratios of 1:6 in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to float between units as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Level II Trauma Center or similar acute care setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
