- Full-time, travel, 13-week assignment, day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to orthopedic surgery patients on a busy 32-bed orthopedic unit.
- Assist with procedures such as dressing changes, suture and staple removal, Foley catheter management, NG tube care, and wound vacuum maintenance.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes and optimal recovery.
- Document patient care activities accurately using Cerner EMR.
- Support patients' mobility and comfort using specialized equipment like walkers, beds, lifts, and hover mats.
- Maintain safety standards and comply with hospital policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- North Carolina nursing license (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous hospital experience
- Orthopedic nursing experience
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR system
