Key Responsibilities
- Provide acute emergency nursing care in a high-volume Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver respectful, patient-centered care, adhering to hospital policies and safety guidelines.
- Monitor and operate medical equipment such as Baxter pumps and GE monitors while documenting accurately in Cerner systems.
- Maintain patient ratios typically at 4:1, up to 7:1 during behavioral holds, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Function flexibly across all sections of the Emergency Department, including triage, internal processing, and cardiac monitoring units.
- Uphold hospital standards for patient experience, including behaviorally appropriate communication (AIDET) and respectful interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting.
- BLS and ACLS certifications, with PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC obtained within specified timelines.
- Proven experience in a Level 2 trauma or high-volume ED with more than 100,000 annual visits preferred.
- Strong teamwork mindset, with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback.
- Flexibility to work across all ED areas with a commitment to meeting department needs.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a high-acuity ED environment, such as trauma or stroke centers.
- Experience working in a hospital environment with diverse patient populations and multiple languages.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot advanced medical equipment efficiently.

Additional Details
- Work hours are 10:45 AM to 11:15 PM, with shifts of 12.5 hours.
- Integrity in documentation and patient interaction is essential.
- Schedule includes every other weekend, with flexibility to meet department requirements.
