Registered Nurse PACU

- Full-time, travel, 13-week assignment, days shift
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care to surgical patients in a busy PACU setting.
- Monitor patient recovery, including ventilator management and specialty procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records system.
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
- Support pediatric and trauma patient needs with appropriate certifications and skills.
Required Qualifications
- Valid registered nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or ability to reciprocate.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Experience with ventilator monitoring, trauma, and pediatric care.
- NIH Stroke Scale experience preferred.
- Ability to work 6-week schedules, with 3 call shifts within the rotation.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in PACU, trauma units, or pediatric care.
- Familiarity with Cerner documentation system.
- Strong interpersonal and critical-thinking skills.
