Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in a busy Level 2 trauma and comprehensive stroke center.
• Monitor and document patient status using GE monitors and Baxter pumps within the Cerner system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including techs, unit clerks, and physicians, to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Perform advanced procedures and respond promptly to emergencies, maintaining patient safety and comfort.
• Uphold hospital policies, including adherence to patient experience standards such as AIDET and respectful communication.
• Contribute to a welcoming team environment known for its camaraderie and commitment to community service.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse, with at least 1 year in an ER setting.
• ACLS and BLS certifications prior to start date.
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts within the scheduled times.
• Flexibility to float within the Emergency Department as needed.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a high-volume ED serving over 100,000 visits annually.
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma or comprehensive stroke center.
• Familiarity with advanced equipment and protocols in emergency care.
• Bilingual skills and cultural competency are a plus.
