Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts, 13-week travel assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for a 44-bed general surgery unit equipped with telemetry monitoring.
• Manage 6-7 patients per shift, including urology and bowel patient populations.
• Administer medications, including IV antibiotics and Heparin drips.
• Perform procedures such as wound vac applications, TPN administration, and tube feedings.
• Collaborate effectively with charge nurses, providers, CNAs, and unit secretaries to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Adhere to unit policies and maintain compliance with safety and documentation standards.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• BLS certification.
• Telemetry competency.
• Ability to manage multiple patients (6-7) per shift.
• Experience with urology and bowel care preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in medical-surgical nursing, particularly with complex wound care and IV therapy.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, energetic personality.
• Knowledge of Cerner EMR system.
