Registered Nurse Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, day shifts, 12.5-hour shifts, approximately 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for telemetry patients on a busy medical-surgical unit.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry to identify arrhythmias and other cardiac issues.
- Perform standard procedures such as peripheral IV starts and dressing changes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective patient care.
- Document patient information accurately using the Cerner PowerChart electronic medical record system.
- Float as needed to other medical-surgical units and emergency hold areas.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or the ability to obtain.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience, including telemetry.
- Experience with peripheral IV insertions and wound care.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude and a helpful nature.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Charge nurse experience.
- Additional telemetry or cardiology certification.
- Experience working in fast-paced hospital environments and float assignments.
