Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital emergency medical care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Transport patients safely to healthcare facilities, offering advanced care as needed.
• Administer medications, perform IV insertions, and utilize Zoll cardiac monitors and IV pumps.
• Ensure compliance with unit policies and maintain certifications and CE requirements.
• Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records.
• Support various transport needs, including behavioral health, wheelchair, BLS, ALS, and critical care transports.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of full-time active pre-hospital care experience or equivalent.
• North Carolina Paramedic Certification and CE requirements.
• North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician Certification and CE requirements.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of satisfactory driving experience.
• Must be over 21 years old.
• Certifications: BLS, ALS, PHTLS/ITLS, PALS.
• Ability to work flexible and friendly personality traits.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Boarded with Muncombe County Medical Director.
• Bachelor's degree in EMS or related field.
• Experience working with Zoll cardiac monitors and IV pumps.
• Experience in behavioral health transport and working in diverse transport settings.

Note: The position involves working one weekend per month, with shifts scheduled from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, on a 26-week assignment starting approximately October 20, 2025.
