Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location: North Kansas City, MO

Schedule / Job Type: 13-week contract, 3 nights per week, 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend required, start date ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced ER environment
• Chart patient assessments, treatments, and ongoing updates using Cerner electronic health record system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor and interpret EKG rhythms, including lethal rhythms, passing a standardized exam on orientation day
• Administer medications and interventions aligned with established protocols
• Maintain current certifications and licensing as specified

Required Qualifications:

• Valid MO RN license or Compact license
• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Current American Heart Association certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC (no pending or future certifications needed before start)
• EKG Pass/CEU required; must pass EKG exam with 80% or higher on orientation day

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous travel nursing experience in emergency medicine
• Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations
