Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for telemetry patients on a medical-surgical unit.
- Monitor patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment.
- Administer medications and perform procedures such as IV starts and dressing changes.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (Cerner Powerchart).
- Assist in patient assessments and respond to emergencies promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Valid nursing license with active registration.
- 2+ years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Telemetry experience strongly preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Charge nurse experience.
- Experience with peripheral IV starts and wound care.
- Excellent team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
