- Full-time, travel, nights shifts, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to telemetry patients in a busy medical-surgical unit.
- Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and perform clinical assessments.
- Assist with procedures such as peripheral IV starts and dressing changes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
- Float to other medical-surgical units and emergency department holding areas as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of North Carolina.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Telemetry certification or experience preferred.
- Ability to work 12.5-hour night shifts.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous charge nurse experience.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring equipment such as Baxter IV pumps and wound vacs.
- Knowledge of Cerner Powerchart EMR system.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
