Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in a hospital setting.
• Support unit operations by working flexible schedules, including every other weekend and holidays.
• Input patient data accurately into EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Assist with neonatal and pediatric patient care, including neonatal resuscitation and ventilator management.
• Float across multiple hospital units as required, ensuring high-quality respiratory therapy services.
• Work 12-hour night shifts, averaging 3 shifts per week, with schedule rotation based on department needs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of respiratory therapy experience.
• Current NY respiratory license or proof of application with applied date.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NRP from within the past two years.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system.
• Ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends.
• Reliable transportation with all-season or snow tires from November through April.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a Level 2 trauma hospital.
• Exposure to neonatal and pediatric populations.
• Experience with ventilators such as Puritan Bennett 980 & 840, LTV 1200.
• Knowledge of Pyxis medication system.
