Full-time, 3 shifts per week, Days, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of medical conditions including COVID, diabetes, renal disease, COPD, pneumonia, and cellulitis.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response team alerts.
- Administer medications via Pyxis system and perform IV insertions, PICC line management, and medication administration.
- Assist with post-surgical patients, including orthopedic, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and general surgical procedures.
- Perform wound care, manage surgical drains, chest tubes, and implement isolation precautions.
- Collaborate with healthcare team using SBAR communication system to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry unit
- Experience with medication systems (Pyxis) and telemetry monitoring
- Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage related care
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous charge nurse or leadership experience
- Certification in ACLS or relevant specialty (not mandatory)
- Experience caring for COVID patients and post-surgical populations
