Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, night shifts (12-hour shifts, 3 days per week)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of medical conditions, including chronic and acute illnesses such as diabetes, renal disease, COPD, pneumonia, and cellulitis.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, including dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to patient needs.
• Administer medications, including IV infusions and blood products, and manage IV access devices such as PICC lines and peripheral lines.
• Assist with post-surgical care for orthopedic, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and general surgeries, excluding major neurosurgical and cardiovascular procedures.
• Use specialized equipment such as bladder scanners and medication system protocols; adhere to isolation precautions and wound care procedures.
• Collaborate with team members using SBAR communication system and participate in rapid response teams when necessary.

Required Qualifications
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a medical-surgical or tele unit
• BLS certification
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous charge nurse experience
• Experience caring for Covid patients and with special procedures like neuro surgery and renal failure management
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication system and specific patient populations (adult and geriatric)
