Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients on a 24-bed inpatient unit.
• Monitor and manage patients with arrhythmias, post-procedural care, and cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, and Lasix.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure timely patient transfers, discharges, and accurate documentation.
• Respond to rapid patient turnover, performing procedures such as IV starts and managing arterial/venous sheaths.
• Maintain compliance with protocols for post-catheterization, Watchman, stress tests, and other cardiac procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and meet unit guidelines during fast-paced, high-volume care.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, specifically in telemetry or cardiac units.
• Current ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications.
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring.
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in managing complex cardiac patients including TIA, carotid stent patients, and post-procedure care.
• Flexibility to float to similar units as needed.
• Knowledge of arrhythmia management and cardiac drug protocols.
