Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), rotating weekends, on-call as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a busy medical-surgical unit with approximately 43 beds and a staff of around 70.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and perform routine procedures.
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic medical record system.
• Adapt to various clinical needs, including float to the Emergency Room if necessary.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies and dress code standards (royal blue scrubs).

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of previous med/surg nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends.
• Willingness to be a team player and ask questions when unsure of processes.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech electronic health records system.
• Prior experience in a similar fast-paced medical-surgical unit.
