Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a busy operating room setting, primarily focusing on neuro, spine, brain, and other surgical procedures.
• Assist with high-volume surgeries including neuro, orthopedic, robotic procedures, Urology, Plastic, Heart, and Transplants.
• Collaborate with surgical team members, including surgical techs and anesthesia staff, to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Maintain documentation using Meditech electronic health record system.
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding attire, infection control, and patient interaction.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including weekday and weekend shifts with 24-hour weekend call coverage.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Texas RN license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience in an acute care hospital.
• Strong neuro surgery experience, including craniotomies and spinal procedures.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a patient ratio of 1:1 during surgeries.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Robotic surgical experience with Da Vinci XI, Mako, or Globus systems.
• Experience with Meditech electronic health records.
• Knowledge of neuro, orthopedic, and transplant surgery procedures.

• Shift hours: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, with floating as needed.
