Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a 36-bed telemetry unit specializing in respiratory disorders.
- Float to other units and hospitals as needed, maintaining flexibility and professionalism.
- Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and document care using the Meditech EMR system.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and pharmacy to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to unit policies and safety protocols, including holiday and weekend coverage.
- Deliver specialized respiratory care within a general medicine setting, supporting patient recovery and well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Active Alabama or Compact Registered Nurse license (No temporary licenses accepted).
- Associate degree in nursing.
- BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in the specialty, or 18 months of experience with a high-level license.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and float to different units or hospitals.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in pulmonary, respiratory, or telemetry units.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
