Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, rotating shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Duration: 26-32 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Provide acute emergency care to patients in a busy hospital environment
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to medical emergencies promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care activities accurately using electronic medical records (EPIC experience required)
- Assist with patient assessments and implement emergency treatment plans
- Flexibility to work every other weekend and adapt schedule as needed for patient care
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license on file at time of submission
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required (TNCC must be in packet or proof of class prior to start, NIHSS required prior to start)
- Minimum of 2 years of ER experience, preferably in large, teaching facilities (500+ beds)
- Travel nursing experience with large teaching hospitals preferred; facility may waive this for candidates with extensive ER background
- Experience with EPIC EMR system within the past 2 years required
- Must have reliable transportation; public transportation not accessible in this area
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires between November and April
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Additional de-escalation training such as MOAB, ProAct, or CPS preferred
- Experience working in multiple ER settings or larger hospital environments
