Key Responsibilities

• Float to various Oncology Medical-Surgical (MS) units and Progressive Care Units (PCU) as needed.
• Ensure staff safety within a secure correctional environment for inmates.
• Provide patient care for individuals with oncology diagnoses, including solid tumors and hematological conditions, and manage general medical-surgical cases.
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy and central lines, and monitor patients with telemetry devices.
• Interpret and manage cardiac rhythms, perform IV therapy, and support respiratory care with equipment like CPAP/BIPAP and oxygen therapy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio or active multi-state license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• EPIC charting experience is required.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and IV therapy.
• Ability to float between units and handle high-acuity patient care within a correctional healthcare setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with medication administration protocols such as Heparin, PCA, and management of high-flow oxygen therapies.
• Strong background in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
